Holy crap, on Monday I turn in the last big round of edits on my manuscript! Copyediting still needs to happen, but the bulk of the creative work will be done TOMORROW.
Having this, uh, chapter of writing the book come to a close feels equally exciting, relieving, and terrifying. So much of this process has meant holding multiple extremes at once:
I’m so excited to be done writing, and I’m terrified that I missed something crucial.
I want everyone to read the book, and I want no one to read the book.
I’m so grateful and overjoyed that I received this opportunity, and I’m incredibly anxious and full of self-doubt.
But considering the book is, in part, about making room for different versions of ourselves, it’s maddeningly appropriate.
Since it’s crunch time for me right now, I decided to take my own advice and lighten my Substack load this week while still providing what I hope is a helpful post!
By now, I have a ton of posts in the archive, and I know that can be overwhelming, so I’ve decided to put some of my most helpful posts into the following categories so you can more easily find the support/information you’re interested in.
I also just want to say THANK YOU, from the bottom of my heart, for supporting my work. Given that we’re all drowning in subscriptions, the fact that ANYone subscribes to my writing is something I will never, ever take lightly or for granted. I’m really excited to pour even more into this community now that the book is almost done eating my brain. Thank you so much for being here ❤️
