I need to practice drawing daily.
And while a daily practice comes with a lot of learnings, that alone, doesn’t keep me accountable.
What does?
Putting my artwork out there - which is one of the reasons I participate in Inktober, a month long commitment to drawing and sharing my artwork. Making a commitment to participate can be little scary. But it does improve my art practice and quality of my work.
As a participant of Inktober in the past - there were moments, many, where I wondered if this was a good idea. But it’s when I’ve pushed through those moments that I experienced the benefits of this practice. Most notable for me, is improvement in my drawing skills, and a great sence of accomplishment.
You don’t have to participate every day - you can make a commitment to 10 drawings - or one a week - or whenever you feel like it. Set a reasonable goal that works for you and let prompt list (below) be a guide.
The rules
1) Make a drawing using any medium (photos are OK too)
2) Post it - to our whatsapp. group or your instagram account
3) Repeat
Let me know if you would like to participate by email.
