America’s mainstream media reported that on July 8, following the NATO summit in Turkiye, President Donald Trump was secretly sneaked from Air Force One into a catering truck, then onto another military jet. Sources said this followed credible death threats by Iran against the President. Weeks later, the airplane swap was disclosed, as was the fact that White House staff, reporters, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent were left behind on the plane. One newspaper claimed that the two cabinet ministers were told the move occurred and was mostly a precaution in case of attack to separate the President and them because they were in the line of succession. So the question is: why would senior administration officials or anyone be left on a plane that US security believed was a potential target and too dangerous for the President? The only explanation was that they were left behind on that plane as decoys, which, the US press has failed to point out, is illegal and constitutes a war crime.
And that’s not the only troublesome issue surrounding this incident.
