When we first came upon the old beauty hack of mixing coffee into Vaseline, we weren't very hopeful. But we figured it was worth ten minutes to see what all the fuss was about.
When I wiped it off my face and looked in the mirror, I noticed my skin looked softer, my neck looked smoother, and everything felt just a little more plump and hydrated. Sometimes the simplest recipes end up being the biggest surprises.
Grind the freeze-dried coffee into a fine powder.
Mix with the Vaseline until fully combined.
Apply a generous layer to clean skin, focusing on areas that feel dry or crepey.
Leave on for 10 minutes.
Gently wipe away with a soft cloth or tissue.
Petroleum jelly (Vaseline)
Forms an occlusive barrier that helps lock in moisture, leaving skin looking smoother and temporarily plumper. It's an old beauty ingredient that is anything but “natural”.
Coffee
Contains caffeine, which may temporarily reduce the appearance of puffiness and increase the look of skin firmness through mild vasoconstrictive effects.
