As you may recall, we went to Montepulciano during our trip to Italy. We toured the “Ricci Winery” and did a wonderful wine tasting there. While I love wine and we have make a lot of wine over the years, I was astonished to say each vineyard had their own tastes and flavors.
The historic barrel cave was amazing. These barrels were 13,000 gallons each! Not in use today - but amazing to stand by. The are about 15 ft tall. I am sharing as it is coming down the home stretch. A fun video.
A long day in the studio! Painting from roughly 11:30am to right at 5pm. Yes, I sat down and had something to eat - but a lot of time on my feet today!
The painting sat on the floor so that I could reach the top and ceiling areas. Then we moved it up onto the big easel. Here I worked on the barrels. A long day indeed.
Think I will have a glass of wine and sit down! Ha!
