Flip, Flip, Hooray!

Team, we’re in the final sprint in the race to the midterms, and our pathway to a Democratic House Majority is clearly defined.

To take back the House and effectively block Donald Trump’s extremist agenda, we only need to flip THREE seats Blue -- but we’re shooting for a lot more than three.

The DCCC is the ONLY Party organization solely dedicated to building a Firewall against Trump's chaos by flipping the House. We're building the wall brick by brick (winning swing districts) -- investing money, time and people power into the races of strong, Democratic candidates who've proven they can go the distance: our 37 Red to Blue candidates.

If we highlighted all 37 of our amazing Democratic candidates in this update, we'd be here all day, so let's start with four:

With leaders like Manny Rutinel in Colorado, Paige Cognetti in Pennsylvania, Sam Forstag in Montana, and Rebecca Cooke in Wisconsin -- our Red to Blue candidates aren’t only True Blue, working class Democrats -- they're also the next generation of Political Leaders who can restore the American dream.

We’re rushing to power all THIRTY-SEVEN of our candidates to victory and FLIP the House, but we need grassroots support to give them a leg up in some of the toughest races across the country. These seats are among the toughest battleground races in the country, with each of our 37 candidates working to flip Republican-held seats. Here are four of our Red-to-Blue rockstars leading the charge:

Manny Rutinel understands the challenges working Coloradans are facing. As a teen, Manny worked at McDonald’s, tutored kids, and even sold his blood plasma to help pay the bills after the bank foreclosed on his family home.

Manny is running for Congress to fight for working families, create good jobs, and improve Coloradans’ health care. The son of a single mom who immigrated from Latin America, Manny’s powerful story resonates with CO-08, an R+0, working-class, 40% Latino district that is souring on Gabe Evans and Donald Trump.

Paige Cognetti is a reformer who is willing to take on anyone to root out corruption and make government work for the people it’s supposed to serve. Now in her third term as Mayor, Paige has breathed new life into Scranton by putting more cops on the beat and revitalizing the city’s finances.

Her record stands in stark contrast to Congressman Rob Bresnahan, who has made himself the poster child of D.C. corruption by breaking his promise to ban congressional stock trading and instead becoming one of the most active stock traders in all of Congress. The contrast couldn’t be clearer: while Bresnahan makes a quick buck, Paige is delivering for Northeastern Pennsylvanians.

Sam Forstag is a working Montanan, union leader, and smokejumper who is running to put working people first. He has a history of fighting corruption -- as Vice President of National Federation of Federal Employees’ (NFFE) Local 60, Sam took a stand when Elon Musk took a chainsaw to public land agencies, organizing against the cuts. Now, he’s ready to take his skills to Washington and fight to lower costs, raise wages, and fight corruption.

With incumbent Ryan Zinke not seeking another term, this race could be the first time in 30 years that a Democrat has represented Montana in the House. This district is more competitive than it has been in the last several cycles. Sam’s appeal to the working class -- proven by his primary win -- gives him strong momentum to flip this seat.

Rebecca Cooke is a 6th generation Wisconsinite who worked and grew up on a dairy farm in Eau Claire, raised with the values of service and hard work. As a small business owner and nonprofit leader -- and now as a waitress -- Rebecca has spent her life building community and serving others.

While Derrick Van Orden thinks he’s better than the people he represents, no one fights harder for Wisconsin families and farmers than Rebecca. Following her overperformance in this Trump district last cycle, Rebecca is the candidate to flip this seat and bring Wisconsin values to Congress.

Democratic leaders like President Barack Obama know that the only way to stop Trump’s MAGA Trifecta is to flip the House BLUE. We’re going all-in on Manny, Paige, Sam, Rebecca, and all 37 of our Red to Blue candidates who are working hand-over-foot to FLIP the House.

But the fact of the matter is: no matter how strong our candidates are, if Republicans outraise us, we could risk succumbing to the MAGA majority again.

Flipping these seats is critical in our path to take back the House Majority, and we need YOU to help pave the way.
