David Skudlik · David’s Dearest

Dear all,

Spring is here and summer festival programs are dropping across Europe. The good seats go fast and to make it easier for you to decide where to go, I added a dedicated festival filter to the page with my recommended cultural activities. More artists are present now, too - currently you have 250+ performances to choose from.

One week from today, Monday, March 16, I’m hosting my first evening as a partner at London’s Fidelio Cafe and I’m very much looking forward to welcoming writer, composer and broadcaster Jack Pepper. He’s 26, hailed as the next Andrew Lloyd Webber, and comes with stories from Windsor Castle, one week at Oxford, and a military flypast timed to the bar. Jack will perform his own songs, also from a new musical he's currently writing, and tunes by George & Ira Gershwin and Cole Porter will be thrown in for good measure. Drinks & food will be served throughout the night.
Doors at 6pm, tickets here.

If you can’t make it on the 16th, happy to have coffee at Fidelio instead.

Playing on loop: After a five-year hiatus from the recording studio, the vision string quartet have just dropped their new album in the fields. They cut up Bartók’s String Quartet No. 4, added a percussionist, all while interspersing it with their own compositions and reloading some Ravel, too. Don't shuffle it and catch them on the road. Also, here’s more to read, watch and listen to.

Stay curious, stay curated -
David
