I’m excited to be taking part in Hidden Door festival this year. I was involved in the first couple of iterations (2009-10!) and it’s nice to be back again at such an amazing venue, The Paper Factory.

I’ll be showing a series of new sculptures which expand on my previous works exploring materials harvested from the Trams to Newhaven project in Edinburgh. I’ve also been making new paper from some prints I previously made using a slice of Tram track.

The visual art space will be open for the duration of the festival, but free entry will be from 1 - 6pm 12 - 15 June.

Super happy to have this recent piece shortlisted in the Scottish Landscape Awards. It’s the latest work from a series exploring the coastal terrain of Findhorn, where I have been considering the temporality of place and the entangled mesh of cultural and organic systems that form the landscape.

The exhibition opens at Kirkcudbright Galleries from 5 July.

Pleased to have this work included as part of the online 199th RSA Annual Exhibition. Again, from my explorations of the coastline and landscape around Findhorn.

Earlier this year I was delighted to exhibit more work from this series at Gallery57 as part of ‘Constructed’. Thanks to curator Ann Symes for inculding me in the show.

In a further iteration of the Findhorn series, I’ve been combining screen printed textures from the concrete anti-tank defences found on the beach there, alongside drawn mono prints inspired by the crumbling cuboid blocks. Here’s a wee sneak peek at one of those.

I originally began this series of relief collages during a residency in Norfolk in 2022, following a visit to the Constructivist art in Britain exhibition at the Sainsbury Centre. I previewed a couple at Glasgow Print Fair last year to really positive responses, so I thought I’d finally share them here. The series is available direct from the studio, so please let me know if you are interested.

Finally, thanks to photographer Graham Williams for coming round to my studio at Edinburgh Sculpture Workshop and doing some portraits. Always happy to have studio visits, please get in touch if you would like to arrange to view some work IRL and see things in progress…
