This is dead, that is dead...like seriously

I keep hearing that cold calling doesn’t work anymore.

Nobody picks up.

People don’t answer unknown numbers.

Email is dead too.

LinkedIn is saturated.

At some point, you start wondering if there’s actually a channel left.

But then we looked back at some of our own calls.

We called C-suite CFOs at enterprise companies.

From a mobile.

No dialer.

And got an 80% contact rate.

So that got me thinking...

Maybe cold calling isn’t the problem.

Maybe we’ve just got a lot of bad outreach going around.

There’s another one I see all the time.

You ask a company who their ideal client is.

“We work with everyone.”

Which sounds great.

Until you realize your message has to mean something to someone before they’ll care about it.

And there’s one more problem that usually shows up later.

Founder-led sales can take you a long way.

But when you hit around $2M, you can’t exactly hand your network over to the next salesperson and say, “Good luck.”

There has to be something repeatable there.

That’s why we pulled together our 3 most-watched sales outreach episodes for this week’s podcast.

We got into what actually works with cold calling, why personalized outreach matters more than the channel you’re using, and how call, email, text and LinkedIn can work together instead of being treated like separate things.

We also got into ICPs, Kotter’s 8-Step Change Model, and why client acquisition needs to become a system rather than something that depends on whoever happens to be doing the selling.

It’s all based on real calls and real deals.

Unlike someone just sitting around telling you cold calling is dead.
