hahahaha what do you do…
When the old you is not the new you? When you’re unsure of how to explain the person you’ve become?
I look at the tagline of this Substack:
“An inside look at growing The Danny Miranda Podcast from 25k to 1m downloads/month”
And I say to myself… “but I don’t care about that anymore!”
And I feel a sense of sadness, a sense that there was something that I desired that didn’t come to pass. I feel that there are people out there who supported me who I feel I’ve let down in some way. I feel the hopes and dreams of a mission that no longer is true.
And I question myself…
“Can I even trust what I want if I wanted something so deeply… and now it’s no longer true?”
It’s okay. I’m just going to start where my feet are. I’m just going to share what’s true today and take it from there.
I fear…
“Will I just be some guy who had some podcast at some time and who trounced off into irrelevancy?”
And I laugh hahahahaha. That’s not true. And it would be okay if it was.
“What’s the point even in writing if AI can do it??”
I don’t know. It feels good? It helps me think? It helps me grow.
I enjoy sharing stuff on the internet. I enjoy looking at the world and seeing what’s true for me. I enjoy the process of my world expanding. I enjoy meeting people who have different and similar worldviews.
I remember at 13 years old… reading Darren Rowse’s ProBlogger. And I thought to myself…
“That would be the coolest thing in the world to be a ‘pro blogger.’”
The calling has been in me.
But what else can I do but share?
“It’s been a long time… should I just start a new Substack or new accounts to reflect the new version of myself?”
I don’t know. Maybe I should. Maybe I will.
I’ve been gone for a long time. Or at least it’s felt that way. Two plus years. The world has changed a ton. The internet has changed a ton. I’ve changed a ton.
And at the core of it is the same essence.
Just a guy who wants to spread some love, who wants to share what’s true, who wants to help myself and others in the process.
There’s a whole lot I don’t know. And I’m more open to seeing what happens than ever before.
Sending big love to you,
Daniel Fedele Miranda
