Welcome to The Spotlight. I’m Katie Hind, Consultant Editor Showbusiness at the Daily Mail.
Can you think of a celebrity who’s had a rougher year than Cat Deeley? The blows just keep coming.
She was TV’s golden girl when she gave up a hugely successful career in LA to move her family back to London.
Cat then scored a plum job hosting This Morning while she and husband Patrick Kielty poured their cash into a ‘doer-upper’ they saw as their forever home.
They seemed stronger than ever - I’ve seen plenty of celeb relationships come and go, but it still came as a shock when they announced they were splitting last year.
Now, I can reveal work on their home has come to a grinding halt. They’ve downed tools and had to put the £5million house back on the market.
Scroll down for another looming crisis, my intel about what Cat might do next - and the pictures that chart the end of her dream.
Moving on to a breakup where nothing can surprise me any more: Olivia Attwood’s ex Bradley Dack has moved on (or should I say... backwards). The footballer was spotted with his ex Emily Moloney near her flat in south-east London.
And it was only a few months ago, in March, that Emily came out on social media to deny she was seeing Bradley again. Make your mind up, Em!
Plus one last exclusive you won’t want to miss. Feuder-in-chief Adam Peaty just swam for the first time under his new married name Adam Ramsay-Peaty – and without his mother Caroline watching poolside. He followed up by whinging and bursting into tears in a post-race interview, blaming the ‘toll’ of the feud for his disappointing third-place finish.
Senior reporter Codie Bullen reveals where his family were, and how his antics have really affected them...
Here’s what else you’ll find in the newsletter:
Margot Robbie has come a long way from her flat share in Clapham. I’m told she’s splashed out on her own Barbie dream house – a £21million estate on Australia’s Gold Coast.
Holly Willoughby’s new YouTube show, Together, finally launched today. So, will the other TV stars follow her lead?
It’s summer, so the Beckhams are afloat, obviously. They moored their £16million yacht, Seven, in Ibiza, where Romeo and dad David were seen looking uncannily alike as they showed off tattoos and matching white towels.
I’ll always tell you the unvarnished truth about celebs and the world of showbiz. So, what do you want to know? Email your questions to spotlight@dailymail.co.uk and I’ll report back in a future newsletter.

Some of Cat Deeley’s This Morning colleagues might be wondering where her future lies. There are whispers that Cat’s place on the ITV daytime programme is at risk as viewing figures continue to tumble. She and co-host Ben Shephard are struggling to bring in even 500,000 viewers.
Insiders wonder whether she may jump ship, or regret moving her life and career from the US (where she hosted Nasty Nigel Lythgoe’s talent show, So You Think You Can Dance).
‘Cat was one of the few Brits to crack Hollywood,’ says my ITV insider. ‘She was a huge success over there. When she came back to the UK for family reasons, This Morning was the ideal gig for her. It is one of the best jobs in British television so it all came together perfectly.’
But that could all be changing, I’m told.
‘ITV are outwardly adamant she is there to stay, but the mood music is starting to say differently. Her big UK comeback was so perfect, now it’s starting to unravel. The US is where she made her name.’
I’m told her ex Patrick Kielty, who hosts The Late Late Show on Irish channel RTE, has ‘absolutely no plans’ to return to America.
‘It all feels very up in the air,’ says my source.
Pregnant Holly Ramsay was beaming with pride this weekend as she watched her husband Adam Ramsay-Peaty compete under his new, double-barrelled name for the first time at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
And she sat squarely in the VIP seat that until now was always reserved for his mother Caroline, who has been so supportive of his success.
This time, Caroline watched at home as Adam missed out on his 33rd major gold medal, finishing third in the 100m breaststroke.
After the medal ceremony, the swimmer sweetly kissed influencer Holly’s growing baby bump before breaking down in tears over his ‘hurtful’ loss.
So, what did the exiled Peatys think of the display? A source close to the family reveals all to Codie Bullen - click here to find out.
Bradley Dack has been spotted looking very cosy with Emily Moloney, who found herself at the centre of romance rumours earlier this year. Emily insisted that she was not in a relationship with Olivia Attwood’s former fiance after a red-top newspaper alleged that she was dating him.
Fast-forward four months and the pair have been spotted near Emily’s south-east London flat.
Olivia split from Bradley in January after nearly a decade together and alleged that Bradley had been seeing Emily.
Now, according to insiders, Olivia will feel her suspicions were correct.
Nowhere is safe from Hollywood nepo-babies... not even the artsy Edinburgh Fringe. Suri Noelle, the 20-year-old daughter of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, will appear in Midsummer!, a contemporary adaptation of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, after it was reported she had ditched her estranged father’s last name.
Suri, who is majoring in musical theatre at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, will jet across the pond next month and bunk up in the Scottish city for three weeks. It was previously reported she was leaning towards a degree in fashion, but it appears acting won out. Hmm, wonder what inspired that change of heart...
For the record
On this week in 2014 Cheryl Tweedy was number one in the charts with her single Crazy Stupid Love, featuring Tinie Tempah. It was also the month she married French businessman Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini on a private island following their whirlwind three-month romance. Pretty par for the course for Cheryl - read about her astonishing upbringing here. They finalised their divorce in 2016, in a hearing lasting just 14 seconds.

The Tea answer: Olivia Rodrigo looked loved-up with private equity associate Julian Croonenberghs as the pair enjoyed a day in the park, marking her first public romance since her split from actor Louis Partridge.
See you next week!
