Getting out of my head started with the exhale. Take that, I have the final word.
Depending on how she directs her voice, the same note take up different personalities. Down towards the bottomless well, it runs dark and thick, almost disorienting. Vibrating her entire being. Up towards the tower however, bright and airy. Sharp like a knife, reflecting like a mirror.
With a little nudge here, a little nudge there. All of a sudden white has turned into yellow. Something new, unexpected. Not better necessarily. A curiosity.
I'm waiting for the bubbles to dissipate, the vibration to reduce. I'm like a soda that never goes flat.
The moment right before the sun comes up, right before a breath is really there, right before a tension is released. That's where the rainbow starts.
Lying on the ground, hearing a faint buzzling and crackling sound, deep underground. The birds singing is slowly disappearing into the leaves, as they disappear into the distant. Ants are taking their leaves and sticks and moving away from me. Even the color seems to fade out from the center. It has started.
I froze the moment before the resolution, but the world kept going.
It's just out of reach, I close my eyes and I can sense it, just behind my shoulder. If I just slightly turn my head, and open my eyes to just before any shape are visible, this is the closest I get.
