Peachy(Patches): altered male, 9yo, 25.4lbs
Chase Infinity and Peachy (Patches) came to the shelter on 8/25 after being owner surrendered. These two dogs are looking for a rescue partner or adopter who can help them recover from the effects of long-term flea infestations and receive the veterinary care they need.
Chase Infinity arrived covered in fleas and is suffering from flea allergy dermatitis, a condition that has left him extremely itchy and uncomfortable. He also has a mild heart murmur and moderate dental tartar. A dental procedure with pre-anesthetic bloodwork is recommended once he is settled. Despite his discomfort, Chase Infinity is hoping for a fresh start where he can finally find relief and comfort.
Peachy (Patches) also arrived with a severe flea infestation and significant skin disease. He is very itchy and has areas of hair loss, irritated skin, and wounds that are believed to be self-inflicted from constant scratching. He also has a soft tissue mass along his right side that should be monitored and evaluated further. Previous owners noted that he was “not good with children,” though no additional information was provided. Any placement with children should proceed slowly and thoughtfully, with close supervision and attention to his comfort and body language.
Both of these dogs deserve the opportunity to recover in a home or rescue environment where they can receive individualized care and attention.
