Meet Cece! This gorgeous 5-year-old brindle beauty is ready to bring some sunshine into your life. At 53 pounds, she's the perfect medium-sized companion with an even bigger personality. Cece is a professional couch snuggler, full-time play machine, and part-time supervisor of whatever her humans happen to be doing. Working in the yard? She'll keep an eye on you. Cleaning the house? She'll follow along. Sitting on the couch? Perfect-she has been waiting her entire life for this moment. Friendly, engaging, and endlessly affectionate, Cece absolutely loves spending time with her people.

Cece spend some time in a temporary foster home and settled into a wonderful routine. She is reliably housetrained, crate trained, and rests comfortably in her crate when left alone. More than anything, Cece simply loves being included in everyday life and is always excited to reunite with her family after they've been apart. Her foster saw progress in her ability to settle and regulate her excitement, with longer stretches of calm and increasingly polished manners every day.

She's also one smart cookie. Cece quickly learned "down" in foster care and is currently working on "wait," "drop it," and the very important advanced course known as "relax." She loves tug, fetch, and interactive play, and she takes treats so delicately that her 3-year-old foster brother has been able to hand-feed her kibble. Cece had wonderful supervised play with him, including ball games, gentle tug, and plenty of couch cuddles.

One of Cece's favorite things in the world is meeting people. She attended a kickball game with her foster's coworkers and absolutely charmed everyone she met. Although she greeted a few people with some excited jumping and gentle mouthing at first, she settled quickly and happily accepted pets, treats, and attention from 10 to 15 different adults. She also met a calm, sweet three-year-old girl and did wonderfully, responding especially well to the child's quiet energy. In her foster home, Cece lived with a young child and learned how to regulate her excitement with the help of structure, enrichment, exercise, and positive reinforcement.

Cece showed that she is capable of making thoughtful choices when given the opportunity. When an adult male friend arrived at the house, she was initially excited but successfully waited to greet him until she had settled down. Moments like this are exactly what her foster worked toward and demonstrate how much progress Cece made with her impulse control and manners.

Cece also proved to be a respectful companion around cats. She did very well with the resident cat in her foster home, showing curiosity without becoming fixated and easily redirecting when asked to give the cat space. Her ability to calmly coexist with a feline housemate is another wonderful example of her adaptability.

Walks are one of Cece's favorite ways to spend time with her people. She made excellent progress on leash and while she may still show some initial interest in other dogs, she's learning to move on without much encouragement, making neighborhood walks increasingly enjoyable. Even more impressive, Cece has proven to be remarkably uninterested in wildlife, calmly ignoring squirrels, rabbits, foxes, and even deer as she explores parks and trails.

Cece has enjoyed Dogs Day Out adventures, adoption outings, community events, and plenty of walks through local parks and trails. She has proudly worn her "Adopt Me" vest around the community, giving even more people the opportunity to discover what a wonderful companion she is. She is happiest when she gets to experience life alongside her favorite humans, whether that means exploring somewhere new or simply relaxing together at home.

When it comes to living with other dogs, Cece appreciates thoughtful introductions. She can become overwhelmed by overly enthusiastic greetings, so she would like to meet any resident dogs before adoption to ensure a good match. Cece has done best with male dogs who are comfortable with her enthusiastic, rowdy play style. She may also be happiest as the only dog in the home, where she can soak up all of her family's love and attention.

Cece is a smart, food-motivated girl who genuinely enjoys learning. She already knows "sit" and "come" and continues practicing "down," "wait," "relax," and "bed." Her foster saw daily improvement in her manners and ability to settle, and Cece responds beautifully to positive reinforcement. She loves training sessions because they mean treats, praise, and quality time with her favorite people. Stuffed Kongs, snuffle mats, puzzle toys, and other enrichment activities are also high on her list of favorites.

More than anything, Cece is an absolute cuddle bug. Her foster says she loves being near people "soooooo much," and she is happiest when she can share the couch, follow her people around, or simply relax nearby. She has a wonderful ability to be both enthusiastic and affectionate while continuing to learn when it's time to settle.

Cece's medium energy level makes her a wonderful companion for someone who wants a dog who can happily join them for outings and adventures but is equally content to curl up for affection afterward. She has already shown that she can adapt to new environments, meet all kinds of people, coexist with cats, and continue learning when given structure and positive guidance.

Cece is looking for someone who sees a big, goofy, exuberant dog and thinks, "Yep, that's my kind of girl." Give her structure, appropriate outlets for play, and a little help polishing her social skills, and she'll give you excellent house manners, endless laughs, enthusiastic companionship, and world-class snuggles.
