Daisy is an excellent house companion. She is very well housetrained and comfortably holds it through a full workday without accidents.

Meet Daisy Green, a sweet, wiggly girl who truly lives up to her "good girl" reputation. This 73-pound sweetheart has a wonderful balance of playful energy and relaxed companionship, and she has continued to blossom in her foster home. Daisy loves being near her people, but she also appreciates having her own space and is perfectly content to spend much of the day snoozing in her designated area.

Daisy is a playful girl with plenty of personality. She loves fetch, tug, zoomies around the yard, and her favorite frog toy. She may enthusiastically shake a rope toy or race around the yard before flopping onto her back for some silly grass wiggles, but once playtime is over, she is happy to settle down for a nap or some affection. Her energy level has been pretty relaxed overall, making her a lovely combination of fun and easygoing.

She is also a smart, treat-motivated girl who already knows "sit" and will patiently stay when asked. She takes treats gently and responds especially well to hand signals and visual communication. She is an attentive, eager-to-please girl who enjoys interacting with her people.

Daisy has made great progress with her leash skills, too. A harness has made walking much easier, and she no longer pulls consistently the way she did when she first arrived. She enjoys stopping to sniff and explore and has shown that she can be a very nice walking companion once she gets those initial wiggles out.

Daisy has experience meeting and interacting with other dogs. She has enjoyed playing with canine pals and generally prefers polite playmates. She requests to meet any resident dogs to make sure they are a good match, and she is eligible to return to BARCS for social sessions.

She has also had extensive experience meeting people of all ages. Daisy has met countless men, women, teenagers, and young children, including toddlers, and has consistently shown a gentle and friendly side. At adoption events, she has calmly allowed toddlers to approach her and has even chosen to lie down while they interacted with her. She can get excited when greeting new people and may occasionally offer a little jump, but she is making excellent progress learning to settle before saying hello. More recently, she has met lots of new people inside her foster home and has done very well, particularly with teens and adults.

When it comes to affection, Daisy is an absolute sweetheart. She loves head scratches, back scratches, belly rubs, and being close to her people. She will happily rest her head in your hands to soak up attention and has become something of a shadow to her foster, following along and enjoying their company. At the same time, she is not demanding constant physical contact and is perfectly happy having a little personal space when she needs it.

When left alone, she simply sleeps peacefully in her designated area throughout the day. She sleeps quietly through the night, is crate trained, has wonderful household manners, and is respectful around food. Her foster describes her as a very relaxed dog overall, with occasional bursts of playful energy.

She has also proven to be a wonderful companion outside the home. Daisy has accompanied her foster to work, where she has met a steady stream of new people and taken all the attention in stride. She has enjoyed Dogs Day Out adventures to places like parks and Lake Roland, where she explored, relaxed, birdwatched, rode in the car, and even enjoyed pup cups. She handled a long car ride well overall and continues to show that she is happiest when she gets to experience life alongside her people.

The only recent behavior note is that Daisy can occasionally have a little trouble settling at bedtime. She may pace and want to head downstairs before eventually settling. Otherwise, her foster reports that she is doing wonderfully and has had a very uneventful couple of weeks.

Daisy Green is looking for a forever home that will give her structure, consistency, daily exercise, and plenty of time with her people. She would love someone who appreciates a dog who can enjoy a fun game of fetch or an adventure and then happily spend the rest of the day relaxing nearby. She has excellent house manners, is affectionate without being clingy, enjoys meeting new people, and has shown that she can be a wonderful family companion.

With her goofy personality, gentle nature with children, experience socializing with other dogs, love of people, and easygoing home manners, Daisy Green has so much to offer. She may not be a perfect fit for every dog or household, but for the right family, she could be an incredibly special best friend.
