Hiro: unaltered male, 8yo, 11.4lbs
Hiro came to BARCS through Animal Control on 7/28 and is looking for a rescue partner willing to help him get the dental care he desperately needs. This friendly boy has been through a lot, but he continues to greet people with a sweet and gentle demeanor.
Hiro is suffering from severe dental disease. He is missing all of his front teeth (incisors) and all but one of his canine teeth, a sign that his mouth has likely been uncomfortable for quite some time. Dental disease can be painful and can affect a cat’s overall health and quality of life, making proper treatment especially important.
Despite these challenges, Hiro remains a friendly and social cat who enjoys human attention. He has not let his discomfort take away his affectionate nature, and he continues to show us what a wonderful companion he can be.
Hiro deserves the chance to be comfortable again. A rescue placement would allow him to receive the dental care and follow-up treatment he needs while recovering in a less stressful environment.
