Winter does not ask us to hurry, yet the messages we receive as we enter a new year do nothing to honor this truth.
Emerson’s advice may be old, but his wisdom is not.
Like many thinkers across time and across the globe, Emerson shared another bit of wisdom to remember: We do not need to race ahead, to travel far, or to look elsewhere for truth, beauty, or purpose. All that we need is within us and with us right now.
We don’t need “fixed.” We don’t need to hustle or to be “goal getters.”
We just need to return and to remember.
