Developing inner trust, learning from van lifers, realising I don't want to follow the traditional path and that's why I burned out
In this ‘Voice note from the Wilderness’ I talk about how I’ve finally learned to listen to my own inner voice and how that sense of inner trust in a noisy business world is giving me much more fulfilment than following the crowd.
I talk through:
How we can end up on auto-pilot following imposed pressure from society, external influences, how it’s “supposed to be done” and then find years later we are burned out.
Why I don’t expose myself to much social media or business advice anymore
How I’ve had to go into a frugal and cocooning phase to finally work out how to run a business that fits with my energy.
What happened when I realised I couldn’t keep up with the pace of modern business (and life!) and realised I just want to be able to walk in the woods and feel relaxed...living simply!
How small steps of trust have started to show me that it takes courage and bravery and we have to sometimes follow our heart and soul instead of letting the logical head rule.
Developing different ways of working that work with my energy levels through my customisable Brand Kits, Design Camps and Design Products.
Why vanlifers and offgriders are inspiring me to tread my own path in business.
Have you had glimmers of a pull towards a different way of life and business? What stops you or what inspires you to take steps towards it? As ever love to chat in the comments so feel free to share.
