A very good mail day from textile artist Lia Karras. This mini rug, woven from a local clothing brand’s offcuts, now lives happily on my desk :).
A piece from the 2016 exhibit Shelia Hicks: Material Voices, seen at the Textile Museum of Canada in Toronto. Found objects in weavings is 10/10 in my books.
Another piece from Julie Moon’s Flourish. This photo does the red colour almost zero justice, but… in person you can feel this colour in your body. I love the vitality that can come from a SINGLE colour in a piece/space/room. Fun to play with.
