Join Lancashire Choir of the Year winners Rossendale Male Voice Choir for a spectacular production tracing the choir’s journey from its founding in 1924 by shoe-factory foreman Fred Tomlinson, with ordinary chaps from the mills and factories of Rossendale.
Blending music, storytelling and striking audio-visuals, the show takes audiences on an immersive journey through the choir’s greatest moments, from early competitions, repeated victories at the Llangollen International Eisteddfod, to today’s thriving choir.
With its roots in the mills and shoe factories of Rossendale, it’s a story of how those ordinary men achieved extraordinary choral success under Fred’s direction.
As part of the show’s finale, they will take you on a behind-the-scenes tour of the choir’s Britain’s Got Talent audition at Blackpool’s Winter Gardens, screened in April 2025. The performance features an evocative audio-visual backdrop with archive footage spanning the last one hundred years, recalling the moments that shaped the lives of the men and the choir.
