When Concordium laid out its roadmap at Town Hall #1, the team projected the agentic economy would mature in late 2026 or early 2027. The market had other plans.
NVIDIA sized the opportunity at $1 trillion. Google launched AP2 with 60+ partners including Mastercard, PayPal, and Visa. OpenAI and Stripe shipped an agentic commerce protocol live inside ChatGPT checkout. Projections now place the agentic economy at $30 trillion by 2030.
The acceleration compressed Concordium’s timeline. What was planned for H2 2026 is happening now — and the infrastructure built over the past twelve months is ready for it.
Every major chain is racing to build for agents. Ethereum’s ERC-8004 has logged thousands of agent registrations since January. Solana’s elizaOS commands 77% of x402 volume. Virtuals has launched over 17,000 agents generating $39.5 million in revenue. 0G raised $290 million.
None of them have mandatory, protocol-level, verified identity that links agents to accountable humans. Payment rails, wallets, discovery, computation: these are table stakes. The accountability layer is not. Critically, it cannot be retrofitted. It has to be built from day one.
Town Hall #5 presented a concrete roadmap — already in motion across three layers of the stack.
Protocol-level identity for agents: An on-chain Agent Registry serves as an identity anchor with ZKP-verifiable credentials. Agents can prove spending limits, jurisdictional permissions, and authorisation without exposing underlying data. On Concordium, identity is enforced at account creation. It cannot be bypassed.
Protocol-level locks and payment safeguards: PLTs held by the protocol, not smart contracts. An agent locks funds; a counterparty delivers or funds auto-return. Auth contracts return only true or false — a bug means an incorrect decision, never a fund drain.
Agent Discovery and Adoption: Concordium is building integration points across the major agent ecosystems. An A2A Agent Card makes Concordium discoverable on any registry with zero development effort from the counterparty. An MCP Server exposes Concordium tools to Claude, GPT, LangChain, and Cursor for both read and write operations. Integrations with Fetch.ai, Virtuals, Naptha AI, and ElizaOS are in the pipeline.
CertiK security audit: The full chain has passed a security audit with CertiK, one of the most recognised names in the space. The partnership continues into the agentic era.
Revolut – CCD will be listed across 30+ markets wherever Revolut operates — putting the token in front of 70 million consumers and over 500,000 businesses. The team is working toward execution now.
Concordium is also becoming an agentic-first organisation internally. Code is already being written by agents. Marketing is AI-driven. Sales workflows are agentic. The aim is fully agentic-first operations within three months. Walking the walk.
Verified humans are already on-chain. Stablecoins are live. Real merchants are transacting. Regulators are reviewing. Over the next six months, all of it extends to AI agents.
The only chain built this way from day one.
Thank you for keeping up with us,
Team Concordium
