Hey friend,
How are you?
This morning, my daughter asked me how the US-Iran conflict started.
And I had to think for a minute.
There’s been so much news, analysis, announcements, retractions, predictions, market boons, market crashes, ceasefires, bombings, and general overload of information that it took me a bit to rewind it all to get to the start.
But I’m thankful that I’m not directly impacted by this conflict.
Apart from higher prices of food, fuel, travel, and imports of any kind.
And fear, concern, and stress.
Just like everyone the world over.
But not directly impacted, like being under attack in one of the Gulf countries, facing a food crisis or worse, a famine.
I feel truly sad when I think about those people.
And reports say that the US-Iran conflict may get even worse.
How will the world respond?
Another barrage of news and opinion pieces?
Or push it aside and tiredly get on with life at hand?
War is exhausting, in every way.
So, take care of yourself, wherever you may be.
And if you need a break from the news cycle, here’s something more optimistic: this week’s 57 new comms roles.
Note that some are only open for a few days or are closing soon, so don’t delay.
As you know, the Comms 4 Development Jobs Board is a weekly list of paid roles (no volunteer or intern roles) and carefully curated by yours truly.
It’s for communications professionals in the global development sector.
All roles are open to non-locals and in developing countries only.
You won’t find anything else like it.
And it’s delivered straight to your inbox bright and early every Tuesday morning (AEST) (except for today!). For the bargain price of $US10/month.
Paid subscribers get the full deal, 2 hours ahead of everyone else, while free subscribers get 10 roles picked at random.
I do the hard yards finding these gigs so you don’t have to! You’re welcome.
