Please forgive the repetition but as is usual with my Swedish Death Clean exercise, I am opening this post to paid subscribers only at first, a little perk I offer to those who support me directly with a paid subscription, in order that they may get first refusal, but soon I’ll be changing this post to be visible to everyone.

So, if you are reading this and you’re not a paid subscriber, it’s because I’ve removed the paywall, so now’s a good time to post the usual reminder below, free or paid tiers available:

First up is this German tour poster:

I’ve no idea why the German promoter of the time decided to literally have a tree on the poster, instead of any of the artwork related to the albums or a picture of the band. At least I’m thankful said promoter didn’t choose to feature a small spiny animal.

Price £20

The more observant among you may notice Colos Saal in Aschaffenburg is a venue I’ll be visiting again with Voyage 35. I can remember doing the Colos Saal possibly twice with Porcupine Tree, and somewhere there’s another German tour poster, which will appear here at some point for sure.

I particularly remember the Freiburg Jazzhaus show, as we played with a crazy band from Russia called Ole Lukkoye, and possibly also on one or two of the other dates. Super psychedelic stuff, I had seen them previously when we both performed at the Burg Herzburg Festival, we arrived a night earlier than our performance and I took the opportunity to leave the hotel and soak up the hippy vibes of the festival. Ole Lukkoye were on and gave a truly otherworldy freakout performance that I’ve never forgotten. A shamanic, trance inducing set that ended up in a huge tribal drumming session on stage.

Price £40

Two much rarer Greek posters here from the Rodon Club in Athens. The year isn’t shown on either, but these are definitely not from the first time we played the Rodon, most likely a year or so later, so I’m guessing 1997 and 1999. The gigs were still sponsored by Camel cigarettes at the time, and there were free cigarettes, lighters and Camel branded condoms, available from the venue, an astounding reminder of how times have changed.

Price £40 - Update - Gone

Below, another Greek poster, I am pretty sure this is much later and from 2010 and from Thessalonika. My overriding memory of this shows was that the support band appeared to be a Porcupine Tree tribute act, and we all stood by the side of the stage to watch them play Fear Of A Blank Planet. They were quite good as I recall, but what an odd choice the promoter made there. Great show and the last we ever played in Greece, which was always a great place for the band. This poster does feature the small spiny animal, in fact, two of them as you can see. I pulled this one (two actually) of the wall of the club myself, I simply had to have this misguided imagery. But it’s time to let it go now…

Price £20 UPDATE - one left.

Lastly, a Polish poster from Bdygoszczy on the Stupid Dream Tour in 1999, I’ve listed this one before, and this is the last one, and it’s here again as the buyer dropped out.

Price £35 Update - Gone.
