For nearly 15 years a NOAA website, Climate.gov, was the US government’s principal portal providing climate information to the public. In 2025 it was shut down by the Trump Administration. On June 23, an independent nonprofit organization, led by former NOAA staff, brought it back. The new website is Climate.us. It preserves climate dashboards, maps, blogs, and explanatory articles of the earlier site, and its goal is to “. . . build an enduring, independent, and scientifically rigorous platform that the world can rely on for climate communication, education, and engagement”.
