Hey squad,
I spent last week putting Grok Bot through some startup and marketing tasks, and here’s my 0.02.
If you haven’t seen it yet, it’s xAI’s take on ai agent teammates. They’ve humanized it by adding cute little faces to each of your teammates. And each teammate can get programmed for a specific job such as an “ad copy specialist” or “chief of staff”
These teammates can talk to each other and even run on schedules.
Here’s where my head is at as a Claude power user though.
Claude Code still wins on basically every dimension. It has the ability to add custom connectors, can build fully custom web apps/ artifacts, entire team can hook into GitHub repo (the future imo), etc.
What I do love about Grok Bot though are the cute little teammates and UI that makes it less intimidating for beginners into ai. It provides such a nice onramp so that users feel an “aha” moment asap without much setup.
Tools like Grok Bot are amazing as onramps into the world of ai. More people outside of the tech bubble I live in will get their hands on ai due to this.
It’s a win overall for the xAI team.
Now, let's get into it.
Claude Marketers is brought to you by GrowthPair
GrowthPair helps companies hire top 1% global marketing talent that are AI-trained for about $3,500/mo full-time. They support roles like growth marketers, video editors, paid marketers, ecommerce managers, etc.
OpenAI's ChatGPT ads went global in the UK, Mexico, Brazil, Japan, and South Korea this week. Ads were shown to logged-in free and Go users (Plus/ Pro stay clean). Ads sit next to the answer and OpenAI states that the ads don't touch what ChatGPT tells you.
Google shipped Gemini 3.7 Flash just three weeks after 3.6. They’re moving at insane speed with their releases. 3.7 is described as a cheap & quick ($0.75 per million input tokens). It’s also 50% off through end of year.
Retail AI assistants are working. 44% of July sessions that used Amazon's Alexa to shop converted into a purchase. This is up from 34% last year. Walmart says Sparky users spend about ~30% more per order. Chat → purchase is heating up.
Claude Code on auto mode by default. Sessions have stopped asking permission for every step and run. (I’ve had this toggled since the first week lol) Claude will only pause for tasks that are destructive or irreversible. Makes sense as I feel most users were just clicking up a storm on “approve all”
Ultrafast mode being previewed - OpenAI is running GPT-5.6 Sol at 14x speed (750 tokens/ second) on Cerebras chips.
Lovable raises $400M at a $13B valuation - The website and app builder that’s primarily used by founder and marketers is building up their war chest.
Gemini crossed 1 billion users - A billion monthly users and they now join ChatGPT at that milestone.
OpenAI names a new revenue chief - Dali Rajic (ex Wiz) has joined as the second CRO in under a year.
69% of Americans would let ai purchase for them - new data states majority of consumers would let ai handle their credit card, and purchase for them.

This slack alert has made me $3M in revenue this year I had Claude code it in like 20 minutes. It's so damn simple. X API → Claude → Slack Anytime someone follows me, Claude researches them automatically. If they match our ICP it pings me in Slack with a full breakdown.

Claude Code can design now. The new /design skill (research preview) brings Claude Design's artboard workflow into the CLI and Desktop, built on artifacts. Run /design to get editable artboards for your UI — pick one, tweak it, then have Claude implement it.

Today we're releasing Computer History in ChatGPT. It lets ChatGPT learn from everything you do on your computer, so it can better understand how you work, finish tasks that you're in the middle of, and suggest skills and automations based on how you use your computer.

Watched 1 hour of Gamma's insane $100M growth hacks so you don't have to 1/ Writing content for Claude is useless — it barely cites anyone -> So Gamma created an official Claude app — you type "make me a deck" and Claude pulls up the Gamma app 2/ Gamma hacks signups made by AI

.@GammaApp grew to $100M ARR with AEO as their primary channel to acquire customers. This is the first episode of my new podcast with @ZargaryanArthur, Distribution, and we have @ravishagrwal who leads Growth at Gamma joining us. This is an absolute masterclass on AEO,
