We watch this video almost every Good Friday. It still gives me chills.
Every year, I fill Easter baskets for each of my family members with candy and a new book that will help each receiver grow spiritually. The selections this year were: The Way of the Wildflower, Just Do Something, Reflections on the Psalms, Beholding and Becoming, Morning and Evening.
I am loving this America 250 series on Substack.
Easter Sunday is always packed at church. My son is super sensitive to the extra noise so he wore his noise-reduction ear plugs and they helped a lot.
I’ve planted red geraniums all over: by the mailbox, in pots on the back porch, and I plan to get more for the windowsill. I will never be able to make my home look like the porch of The Grand Hotel, but having a glimpse helps.
I have been trying to Spring Clean my home for about a month now. I had one productive Sunday afternoon/evening so far. Music helps. A housekeeper would likely help more ;). Alas…I will keep trying. Advice welcome.
I’ve been working on the yearbook for our homeschool group. This website is great.
I started Endymion after a friend bought me the book. I absolutely love the language. I did not read enough Keats in college, despite my degree in writing (they were too busy shoving Virginia Woolf down my throat). My only criticism is that it’s going to take forever because I have to stop every few lines to copy something into my commonplace book.
The Birmingham Art Museum has a “Monet to Matisse” exhibit on display through May. It was well worth the drive.
My son is taking a homeschool class that includes a career assessment that was very insightful. I heard about it from this episode of Ginny Yurich’s podcast.
This is my favorite lotion for spring/summer. The scent is fantastic.
I watched this movie with my daughter. It was a rewatch and it was just as good as I remembered.
Thanks so much for reading. My Substack is forever free to read and I offer a monthly paid resource, as well. To support my work, become a free or paid subscriber.
Till next time,
