Your Divorce Starter Kit

I’ve been writing about divorce on The Mother Lode since I left my marriage in February 2023. This encompasses a lot of content. So, I thought I’d compile my most practical posts in one place. This starter kit is for anyone who is: a) in the midst of a divorce, b) embarking upon a divorce, c) thinking about divorce, or d) wants to understand what it takes to actually get divorced.

I shared my own Divorce Diary and the experience of being in Divorce Purgatory (aka when you get stuck in the midst of your divorce and cannot see a path out).

The moment I realized, just three months after crossing the finish line and signing my divorce papers, that unless I was prepared to take my ex to court, those papers were meaningless.

Finally, my series of other women’s stories of divorce, The Divorce Diaries, which now has 17 different entries from women from all walks of life.

But I thought a Cliff Notes for those who were in the thick of it and needing immediate access to the most practical advice could use a cheat sheet.
