What a wild ride this life is. I definitely didn’t imagine when I closed Fresh Thymes & Co. three years ago, life was leading me in this direction, evolving into a new expression of health and vitality. Deeply inspired (again!) to play an emerging role in helping people connect to their wellbeing in powerful and life-affirming ways, which is more timely than ever. Difficult as the passage was, my gratitude for the journey is endless.
Always aspiring to be a bridge to better health for others, sharing with heartfelt integrity, embodied wisdom and passion to inspire better health choices and a deeper connection to themselves. For decades, it was all food. I was so inspired by the power of truly being nourished and eating with respect from the land, revering all it provides for us to thrive. I was deeply committed to showing people how beautiful and delicious eating well for our health can feel.
Coming full circle, having undertaken a deeply transformative journey, I am awestruck by what I’ve learned. I was shown again, another layer of how beautiful life can be when you’re unburdened by all you’ve been carrying your whole life without even knowing it. And, impossibly, witnessed and felt how one’s health changes to mirror the new expression of their unburdened self. To be in alignment with our natural state of being, experiencing how the body unfolds like a beautiful flower once it’s finally able to breathe.
It’s been part of my life journey in self-healing to also heal at this deep level, triggered by me walking away from my business and all the ensuing endings that initiated. In hindsight, I needed to go through all that so I could bring a new passion in healing forth, a level of healing available to all of us.
An intuitively guided, notorious early-adopter of many healing and wellness modalities, many provided me with great personal growth. A previous audacious early adopter choice was opening Fresh Thymes and Co. My ingredient conscious eatery. Founded at the beginning of the personal food identity era (2013) it was an eatery of beautiful local food that embraced specialized diets in pursuit of health as the emerging wellness-zeitgeist of that time, deeply connecting food with disease and physical health.
Unwittingly, my personal healing path of the last three years was again intuitively guided, leading me into the arms of an emerging healing process I have become deeply devoted to. I melted into the world of Nervous System Mastery and trauma awareness. I immersed myself in working with the energy of the nervous system. What’s held there, holding us back from all we want to be? How do you approach the healing and modulating of the nervous system?
This is where “early-adopter-me” makes a visceral realization of the profound benefit, simplicity and potent medicine the nervous system provides when it is supported in the way it’s meant to. And how, once honored and nurtured as intended - our whole life begins to change. As well, how intricately intertwined it is with not just physical health, but also our mental health and how we relate to the world around us. The physical symptoms of a disordered nervous system live downstream, and yet are manifested all around us in a myriad of ways.
I returned to Boulder from living in Costa Rica just before the holidays. My own nervous system restoration and personal growth while immersed in nature and nurtured by the sea was a chapter gently closing. Given the momentous world events unfolding, I felt the pull to be closer to family and community.
I was whole, my process complete and I felt ready to move in the world again. For the last year, I’ve been building my vocational calling in wellness as a Holistic Transformation Guide, holding space for those who want to walk the path to better health in a fully aligned way; actually seeing lasting results from their efforts. Blending all the curative wisdom in food, wellness and energetics that I’ve harnessed in the last 20 years, I weave that with cutting edge knowledge of how the nervous system is the true arbiter of mental and physical health. When we shift the energetic direction of our healing and wholeness journey to the nervous system, everything changes.
I’ve been fortunate to be invited on over 40 podcasts now talking about my work and my view of how the nervous system wants to heal. My healing work has evolved a lot since I launched my offerings last June, as my own immersion journey continued to unfold. I have had many opportunities to expand my openings to guide others and have had so much support along the way, showing me what’s possible.
I am very grateful to be back in Colorado and looking forward to this year. Excited about the ecosystem I am creating as a means to have deeper connections with more people and desire to cultivate community again.
Currently, I am building an introductory webinar and curating in-person experiential gatherings wherein I introduce myself and this work to intentional audiences, connecting each of our nervous systems to our communal nervous system and health in a new way. I hope this invites introspection and initiates a desire to harness and understand this new level of healing. In my opinion, regardless of one’ s health, a nervous system level of personal commitment to ourselves is so urgent at this time of cataclysmic changes. It is incumbent upon us to learn to hold ourselves and that starts with the nervous system.
I am super eager to meet many of you online and be with many of you in person again in the coming months. I will also be sharing about the power of co-creating our healing in community; another facet I have also worked with intensely for the last three years as well.
