ATMOS THE PRINCIPAL · The Principal's Desk

It is not new to see new chains now and then, but it is rare to see chains like Dango. DeFi is always evolving; you have to work hard to catch it. But in the case of Dango, even you can see a flight.

Launching a new chain is tough, and launching one that is true to a next-gen user experience is no small feat! And that's Dango's mission: to be a DeFi Hub that leverages capabilities and a next-gen user experience. It's totally incredible.

Dango is not just bringing a lot to the table; it will become the table. Watch. Dango's unique value proposition is app-driven infra development. This key factor covers the use case, UX, and robust business model.

Dango tends to bring a TradFi win-win situation alive in DeFi. What that means is that, a risk seeker/taker can get a loan from an intermediary who got a deposit from a risk avoider. When the loan is repaid, each gets a cut. You don't need to panic because your money is safe with the intermediary's means of liquidation.

Take a scenario Dango illustrated: "Consider how a risk seeker would use DeFi to go levered long on their $100 worth of Bitcoin. They would deposit WBTC into Aave, borrow up to $73 of USDC, and swap the USDC to WBTC. This achieves a 1.73x leverage at most, lower than what most traders desire (3-10x)."

Dango tends to provide a viable solution to the benefit of everyone.

Dango aims to fix this with a new primitive, the margin account. Pioneered by @GearboxProtocol and @mars_protocol, perfected at Dango

I will save you the long read, and attach here a screenshort to help you understand how Dango tends to achieve this feat. Take a lot below:

The cruse is that Dango will work on connecting every chain (Eth, EVM L2s, Sol, Move Ecosys, Cosmos Btc, and others via various bridge technologies.

This will be achieved using an IBC-compliant MPC/TSS bridge. An IBC-compliant MPC/TSS bridge is a specialized cross-chain interoperability solution within blockchain ecosystems.

For example, transfer of assets between say, Cosmos-based blockchains and non-Cosmos blockchains, interoperable smart contract execution across chains, and cross-chain DeFi applications. And that's why Dango is rolling out 3 apps:

1. The margin account

2. A spot DEX

3. A perp DEX

This is enhanced by scalability, security, and interoperability. No one should be left out.

I feel this is the best part of Dango. No fragmentation of UX. Dango will help us run everything on a single integrated UI, on THE DANGO PORTAL.

And greatly, the approach for her UX is the key-less and wallet-less approach. You can add any number of authentications you want and, sign up like you do on X and Insta.

Dango tends to make three key things happen:

1. An integrated UI

2. A user-friendly fee scheme

3. A novel account system

And there is syncing of devices, even those of different families. It will be the new portal for every DeFi 3rd party app builder. We work hard with top UI/UX designers to ensure a high-quality and coherent experience across all applets. Our goal: anything you want to do, you don’t have to leave the portal; everything you do, there’s a consistent and polished experience.

Simply put, Dango is our DeFi one-stop shop. Period.

Dango will be an L1 blockchain utilizing our smart contract engine, Grug, running on top of the Tendermint consensus protocol. More here: https://grug.build/

Dango will have a proof of authority validator set of ~20 nodes, similar to BSC. They will have no power in governance, take no delegation of tokens, and earn no revenue from on-chain sources. We aim to launch at 0.5 second block time, processing 2,000 TPS just sufficient for short-term goals.

Dango’s token is $DNG, with a total supply of 30,000. Our goal for the distribution of $DNG is that at least half of the total supply should go to the community (non-insiders), among which as much as possible should be liquid at TGE.

Check Tokenomics below:

There will be no airdrops, incentivized testnets, or point programs. You can only participate in ICO or lockdrop during TGE, or yield farm post-TGE. Dango should launch in Q3 2025.
