In this week’s Child First Policy Center community call, we discussed the Balance Act and why it matters for families, teachers, and students. The conversation focused on the need for healthier boundaries around school technology use and the importance of giving educators more support in creating learning environments that protect attention, development, and student well-being.
We also reviewed the process for making public comments at school board meetings, including how parents and community members can prepare clear, respectful, and effective remarks. Public comment is one of the simplest ways families can make their voices heard and help local leaders understand what children are experiencing in today’s digital learning environment.
