I Tried Dolly Parton’s Boxed Cookie Mix

Dolly Parton has been a very respectable figure for not just the United States, but to the rest of the world as well.

She has done wonders in her country music career, becoming the legend that should always be seen and heard as someone very dear and special to everyone’s hearts through all the ups and downs that come and go in life. She is also an endearing figure in families by helping children with her Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, for them to receive free age-appropriate books from the mail, so that they can learn how to read.

The reason I’m writing this article is because today, for the first time ever, I’ve baked with one of Dolly’s boxed cookie mixes.

Let me tell you:

They were so much better than the regular cookies I bake from a recipe (no box mix). That’s something I never imagined to say. Ever.

Usually, whenever I dealt with a boxed baking mix, it always had that chemical flavor to them that I just never liked.

But for Dolly’s cookies… they are perfect!

Easy to prepare, of course, by only adding one large egg and a 1/2 cup of butter to be blended along with the cookie mix.

I was very worried at first if I had over-softened the butter because the cookie dough was very sticky. But once they were done baking in the oven, the results were undeniable.

Each were near perfect in shape.

All had their fair share of chocolate chips in them.

And, most of all, the baking time was perfect.

Usually I always struggle with the baking time of cookies, because there will be days that they will take more or less time depending on the weather. And I baked the bakery-styled cookies from one of the best recipes to make them.

But these cookies by Dolly were something I really enjoyed. I’d say it is top-tier, especially if you’re craving something sweet after a long, hard day at work but don’t have the patience to put all the ingredients together in a regular recipe… or if you’re in a hurry and need a sweet treat for a special event or a party, etc. Dolly’s box mixes will save you from all the trouble and the quality never fails.

I really need to try out Dolly’s other box mixes. I know my friends PJ and Thomas tried her cupcake mix and baked them with their three wonderful children as a family activity in the kitchen. They gave their compliments to Dolly via one of their videos on their YouTube channel (which is PJ and Thomas @ThePropertyLovers), and it was highly positive in terms of the quality and the flavor of the Dolly cupcakes.

So, I’m willing to try!
