Communitave Design

Greetings you are loved!

Yes I realize that Communitave is not a word (yet!). Think I was going for communicative but I think it highlights more so what I was going for with this new word.

Good design for buildings and cities do not come from one person, one dream or vision they come from the community, the ecologists, biologist, plants specialists, engineers, designers, artists. 

They communicate the needs of the area and make the best next situation, or an even better one from what they had before. 

Sustainable building is having to put less into it and having more rewards from it, not even a circular design, but a generative design one that will allow for continued growth and change without harming what has preceded it. 

This note Titled “Communitave Design” from January 2nd 2022.

It is in a section of notes where I was writing, researching and engrossed a lot with how we can fund plants in the cities - from educating people on them how to grow them - to how to harvest them - how to have kitchens combined with grocery stores and to have farms just as local.

Contemplating

This work, research is on going- but now to focus on why I pulled this note out of that haystack - because the design for these systems that encompass many should not be designed by one person - as well when things change and should be able to change with the times - instead of having much stricter and harsher change, this is a design choice we can make these design choices.

This ideas of circular design , encompass zero waste, when the building falls apart how to make new bricks from it. When the tree falls how does it become a new tree - this is circular design. Above I illuminate another form above circular where inputs are less and the focus is encompassing change as a constant and a true force of innovation our energy to aspire to be better than before is more than circular, its conical - reference the logo of process portal if you aren’t familiar with a conical spiral.

That longer process of the tree turning back into soil before its components, is extensive our world is old, plants are millions of years old using this philosophy- way of thinking to survive, to keep proliferating, to reproduce.

With this I’d like to reference another note from January 31st 2022

Titled Education in Greenhouses

greenhouses for education of the biome for plants, to teach about the niche inter evolving factors of life

but also for conservation of species since sometimes they go extinct even in evolution

Which was stemmed from my learning and curiosity in plants, evolution, why things are the way they are.

Tony is a botanist - check him out at Crime Pays But Botany Doesn’t on youtube - he has been a wonderful teacher to me as he takes us through habitats and identifies many plants, through a camera and uploads his walks and talks in nature so that we may all learn with him.

Tony is an advocate to learn and give a shit about plants, hence inspiring this note, and helping me learn from others how we can all care for the many forms of life here.

I was contemplating the many forms of life, and what is known as competition and hence the dominating force of the human existence squashing and depleting the diversity of other forms of complex life.

The boundaries of the individual- how far we will go to protect it - as we value our life more than others.

Do we wash away? Do we fight for abundance for all?

Leading back to the intro, the all part, is where we have to get communicative with others what is best for all, whats best for some is not for another.

Why so complex, entire languages trying to grasp at it, civilisations, what are we.

The value we can focus on is positivity, what is good for you, for another, for the community, for the globe.

We go out and put a smile on our face, then another, then our community smiles with us. Then we put a smile on our earth.

Imagine better futures - positive vibrations

Closing - just a wonderful place for me to reflect - but I think I will start a letter more focused on work and building these better futures, and ways to fund them. So next letter keep your eyes open and heart open.
