Short Term Roadmap

The Chance Markets roadmap is our short term development plan. Bringing the lessons and feedback from 2024 into the new year, we have a highly curated and specialized approach for the first half of 2025.

Say goodbye to empty prize pots in our Daily Prediction Markets. With the Automated Round Prize Pool Seeding System, Chance Markets daily prediction markets will be opened with small amount of funds to seed both sides of the Prize Pot.

The first Daily Markets to receive the automation system will be $AVAX, $BTC.b, and $JOE. We will be adding the automated round prize pool seeding system to $COQ, $QI, and Hourly Markets in the future as well.

More tool tips and information on How-to-Predict. Some of the main UI updates will be surrounding the upcoming How-to-Predict page. This page will feature a step by step guide on how to place predictions, how rounds operate, and more. We will also include helpful diagrams and visuals to add in users understanding of the platform.

Chance Markets profile system was a major hit in 2024. we are taking this profile page to the next level this year by bringing our username system on chain. This step will enable us to continue to bring all components of Chance Markets on chain and further the end goal of a purely decentralized platform. Chance Market Usernames will replace the off chain naming system for the Chance Leaderboard.

.chance usernames will be minted in $predict. Each .chance name will cost 2000 $predict ($10 USD at the time of writing). All of the $predict used to mint .chance usernames will be burned and removed from supply.

The Chance Oracle System is designed to help native Avalanche assets that do not meet the current oracle volume and liquidity requirements of other providers gain access to on chain price feeds on the Avalanche network.

Our goal is to build a highly flexible and customizable oracle system to help bring a wide variety of data types on chain, including non-financial data as well.

The $predict Staking, Locking, Burning System (aka SLoB for short) is a brand new way for users to engage with a protocol, depending on their level of comfort. The simple overview of the $predict SLoB utility plans are:

• Stake predict LP tokens, earn platform fees

  • Staking LP tokens has no lock-up time. This means tokens can be unstaked at anytime with no penalties.

• Lock predict LP tokens, earn more platform fees

  • Locking LP tokens requires users to lock their LP tokens up to 24 weeks. The longer a user locks, the larger a percentage of fees they will earn.

  • Locked LP tokens can be withdrawn immediately if required using the Emergency End Lockup (EEL) function. Using an EEL to exit a lockup incurs a fee on the locked tokens.

    • The higher percentage of a lockup served, the lower the penalty for using an EEL.

    • The lower percentage of a lockup served, the higher the penalty for using an EEL.

• Burn predict LP tokens, earn the most platform fees

  • Burn LP tokens requires users to send their LP tokens to the Dead Address. This action is irreversible and users should only Burn LP tokens if they are fully aware of the consequences and understand they cannot unburn tokens or retrieve them from the Dead Address.

    • Burning LP tokens is not reversible.

More details about the $predict LP staking system will be revealed in the coming weeks, as we approach the launch of the system.

Chance Chain is a sovereign L1 blockchain that will host the Chance Oracles. Chance Chain will also host our Custom Prediction Markets. $predict will be used within the Chance Chain ecosystem. Stay tuned to learn how it will be incorporated closer to the launch of Chance Chain.

By strategically partnering with other projects, iteratively developing new features through stealth launches, and actively engaging with the community, Chance Markets will continue to evolve and solidify its position as a leading force in decentralized prediction markets.
