I miss my old rolling rack setup. Just one little rack in the corner, holding maybe 20 pieces…the ones I actually reached for. Getting dressed felt easy. Fun, even. Everything was a yes. Now that everything’s back in the closet, nothing feels special. It’s just... too much. I miss knowing exactly what to wear, the comfort of old reliables with just enough surprise built in.

It got me thinking: I cook the same way. When my pantry is too full, I get overwhelmed. But when I have a handful of ingredients I love, really love, it all flows. So in the spirit of streamlining and savoring, here are a few standouts from the past year, closet and kitchen alike.
