Hello December. This year just seems to have flown by and it has been a tough year for many. I know quite a few people who will be happy to see the backside of 2024 and who are hoping that 2025 brings some welcome changes. December is not only home to the holiday season it is my birth month and I say goodbye to my thirties this year. Do I have anything planned? Nope. And that is just the way I like it. I do have some non-birthday things going on though, in the form of a few group sales events (details are below) and getting The Devil’s Tangle ready for publication.
Anna completed her edits on The Devil’s Tangle and now the ball is back in my court to take her suggestions and level up the book so my readers get the best book they possibly can. But I can happily say she loved this story and she can’t wait for the one set in this new world.
An Echo of Hope is still ticking away. I had a few revelations about the story and where it needs to go and I am getting excited about it again which is a great feeling.
Evan, the boys, and I watched Nautilus. Holy crap I enjoyed it and I am hoping that they make season two.
I am reading Haunted Ever After by Jen DeLuca. I am enjoying parts of it but I am not sure that I am completely sold on the developing romance. It could be the pacing of the romance itself or it could be that I am not in the right mood for this particular pairing (the joys of being a mood reader). Either way though it is still a solid and enjoyable read, and I am curious to see where it goes.
And I am currently chipping may way through Chokepoint Capitalism by Rebecca Giblin and Cory Doctorow. An interesting read so far though I am only about a quarter of the way in.
I turn 40 in a handful of days.
Deathborn and A Song of Sorrow are on sale until Jan 5th more on that below.
I will be organising ARCs of The Devil’s Tangle towards the end of the month so if you would like to be considered for one keep an eye out on my socials.
Another short update this month but that seems to be the phase I am in at the moment, this readjustment period to the events of the last few months. I might talk about some of it in the future but for now back to the writing.
Have a wonderful holiday season whatever you celebrate and I will see you in the new year.
