Dolls, Nobody warned me about the little things. These are the things I wish someone had told me at the beginning. So I’m telling you now.
There’s a version of me that would’ve laughed if you told her Pilates reformer classes would ever feel like something to look forward to instead of something to survive. This particular set is too big now, but I recently did a gym uniform refresh with pieces that move with me instead of against me.

Nobody talks about this part enough. Weight changes, but skin has its own timeline, and it doesn’t move at the same pace as everything else. I’ve got a few permanent fixtures on my bathroom shelf right now, in heavy rotation post-shower.
I caught myself doing this more than once. Buying for a future body instead of dressing the one standing in the fitting room. This particular dress, made the cut.

This one took me longest to accept. It’s not just sizing down. It’s relearning what works for a shape that keeps shifting under you.
The trip. The swimsuit. The adventure. I used to hold all of it hostage to a number I hadn’t reached yet. No more of that, dolls!
Dolls, none of these showed up on a checklist anyone handed me. I learned them one at a time, mostly by getting it wrong first, usually a little later than I wish I had. Some of them I’m still learning, honestly.
That’s exactly why I built the Habit Transformation Guide — the small, unglamorous shifts that actually carried me through this, the ones nobody puts in the highlight reel. I wanted you to have them earlier than I did.
