Join us this week for our Sunday Worship Gathering at CCV, tomorrow at 10am. As we move through the Advent season and prepare for our annual celebration of the incarnation of Jesus, Pastor Kevin will be teaching from Isaiah 9:6 on “Jesus the Mighty God”. We’ll also have a special time of sharing and prayer as we prepare to move over to the Haslett location and become Spirit of Christ Vineyard Church (SOCV). Please come ready to share how our CCV community has been a blessing to you, and what you’re thankful for as we take this opportunity to reflect and praise God for his presence and power at work among us.
This Sunday will be our last time meeting at CCV’s East Lansing location. Next Sunday you’re invited to join us for another united worship gathering “sneak preview” before the merger officially takes place at the beginning of 2026.
Sunday, December 21st at 10am: Weekly Worship Gathering at CCV
Wednesday, December 24th at 7:00pm: Christmas Eve Service at SOCC
Sunday, December 28th at 10am: United Worship Gathering at SOCC
Sunday, January 4th at 10am: SOCV First Worship Gathering
Note: This week (Tuesday 12/22) due to the Christmas Holiday and Christmas Eve Service, we’ll be taking another week off, but we invite you (regulars and newcomers) to join us for a Christmas potluck/party on Tuesday, December 30th.
For nearly one year now we’ve been publicly discussing the possibility of merging CCV with Spirit of Christ Church in Haslett. It’s now official; both Boards of Elders have voted to pursue joining forces and begun to work out the details of how to proceed. We intend to meet together for Worship two more times in December (12/24 and 12/28).
Our plan is to officially bring the two churches together as “Spirit of Christ Vineyard Church” in January 2026 after the new year, allowing time for several important remaining legal and financial details to be worked out over the coming weeks.
Please continue to pray for God’s wisdom, guidance, protection, provision and unity as we pursue what God’s Spirit has invited us to do together.
If you plan or would like to give a year end gift to CCV please be aware that for tax purposes all gifts must be postmarked by Dec. 31st at the latest. As we meet together with SOCC in the coming weeks, for the remainder of this year we’ll have a CCV Offering Box there to receive tithes and offerings until the end of this year.
Weekly Budget Target: $2900 wk./$145,000 ytd.
YTD Actual Income: $118,084
YTD Actual Expenses: $116,459
YTD Net Income: $1625
Note: Please bear in mind that these numbers are Year-To-Date. Whenever our cash flow (net income) is negative, it means we’re operating using reserves from the previous year, which are limited. Please continue to pray with us for God’s provision!
“Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.”
2 Corinthians 9:6-8
