Police say traffic is flowing again along a section of the Trans-Canada Highway on Newfoundland’s west coast, after a crash shuttered both lanes earlier in the day.
In a statement around 8 p.m., the Royal Canadian Mounted Police said the highway was open again. They had first advised of the closure about 1:30 p.m.
Drivers were warned of the potential for delay and asked to slow down when approaching the area — about six kilometres west of the Flat Bay Junction. The junction is near the community of Flat Bay and Route 403 in the Bay St. George region.
