A four-vehicle collision along the eastbound lanes of Highway 401 in Southwold, Ont., shut down the busy corridor for over two hours Thursday evening.
Emergency crews responded to the crash east of Union Road at around 6 p.m. Police closed the lanes at Union Road so officers could investigate the collision and assess injuries.
Many drivers were stopped behind the crash and had to remain on the roadway until crews could clear the vehicles and debris.
The lanes were reopened at about 8:22 p.m.
