It's another busy weekend in Waterloo region with a wide variety of events for people to enjoy.
The Wet Hot Summer Market is Saturday from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Gaukel Block in downtown Kitchener. There will be lots of local vendors on hand with handmade items, vintage art as well as drag performances and other entertainment.
The Cambridge Symphony Orchestra is offering a free concert Sunday at 3:30 p.m. called Movie Magic. The full orchestra will perform music from movies like How To Train Your Dragon, Raiders of the Lost Ark, James Bond and the musicians will be joined by Canadian singer Angelica Di Castro. People are encouraged to bring their own chairs to this family friendly event at the Gaslight District.
The Cambridge Summer Live series continues with the Clefs of Moher playing in Mill Race Park Sunday evening starting at 7 p.m. People should bring their own lawn chairs, water and snacks to enjoy the free concert
The Guelph Royals host the London Majors Saturday at 7 p.m.
The Kitchener Panthers host the Chatham-Kent Barnstormers Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m.
A quick note about an event that's not happening: Caribana Ignite was supposed to take place in downtown Kitchener this weekend but it was cancelled earlier this month. Organizers and the city say they hope to bring it back next year.
Schneider Creek Porch Party
Saturday 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
The end of Peter Street near the Iron Horse Trail, Kitchener
There will be 20 bands on eight porches in the Schneider Creek neighbourhood of Kitchener. People should bring their own lawn chairs or blankets, snacks and drinks and just enjoy the music.
Cambridge ComiCon
Sunday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
POP Culture Centre, Cambridge
There will be a variety of vendors with comic books, new and vintage toys, anime, prints and other awesome geek stuff. Some artists and authors will be there with their own art, books and comics.
There will also be live wrestling at the show and a special guest: WWE hall of famer Brutus The Barber Beefcake.
This event runs Sunday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the POP Culture Centre in Cambridge
Tickets are required. Children 12 and under are free. Anyone who brings five or more items as a donation for the food bank gets a free comic book.

Saturday at 8 p.m.
Cowan Park, Ayr
This is a make-up event after fireworks had to be cancelled on Canada Day due to stormy weather. There will be live music, backyard games, ice cream and other cool treats. Fireworks are expected at approximately 9:30 p.m.
Day of Play
Saturday 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Waterloo Park
There are activities and giant games set up near the Eby Farm area as well as live performances from the Simon Says Show, balloon twisting and music from Erick Traplin.
There's a community fair where local non-profits will have various booths with activities.
The city says people should bring a picnic blanket, snacks, water and a hat and sunscreen.

Hard to believe 10 years ago The Tragically Hip took the stage in Kingston, Ont., for an incredible concert before lead singer Gord Downie's death.
The viewing party starts with a performance by local band Better Than Nothing. People are encouraged to bring their own chairs and snacks (and maybe some tissues).
If you can't make it to Market Square, CBC is airing the concert on CBC TV, CBC Gem and the CBC YouTube Page.
