There’s a trend in marketing right now that drives me up the wall. People call it vibe marketing.
The pitch is simple.
Plug in your accounts.
Let the AI scan your website.
Get a month of “on brand” content in seconds.
Convenient, sure.
But convenience isn’t strategy.
Vibe marketing tools act like your website can tell them everything they need to know. They treat tone of voice guidelines as if they predict engagement. They promise to keep you “consistent” without ever asking whether any of it actually works.
Here’s the truth most marketers quietly acknowledge.
Your website isn’t your strategy.
Your brand guidelines aren’t your growth engine.
And “on brand” posts don’t mean much if nobody cares.
These tools generate what they think should work, based on generic inputs.
Not what has ever worked for your audience.
That’s the fundamental issue.
They’re guessing.
They’re doing it confidently.
And they’re selling it as growth.
I come from a growth background, so my instinct is always the same. Start with the evidence. Understand what your audience already responded to. Look for patterns. Look for the jobs to be done behind the engagement.
Growth is not built on vibes.
Growth is built on specifics.
Why did this post work? What moment did it tap into? What problem did it speak to?
You can’t answer those questions by scanning a homepage.
You can only answer them by looking at the proof already sitting inside your analytics.
This is also where AI can be remarkable.
Give it specific, accurate inputs and you get powerful, precise outputs.
Give it generic signals and the results become generic too.
Garbage in, garbage out.
The oldest rule in computing is now the most important rule in AI.
Performance channels like paid ads and email have tight feedback loops. They learn, iterate and adapt. Organic content is the only major channel that hasn’t caught up. People still rely on posting volume instead of posting intention.
That’s wild given how much data we sit on.
Most marketers have a year of performance history in Meta/LinkedIn/TikTok/Substack/X.
It’s a complete map of what worked, and why it worked.
Yet most people never look at it.
And most tools don’t use it.
They track your results after you post, but they don’t let those results shape the next piece of content.
The loop never closes.
Nothing improves.
If your AI tool isn’t learning from your actual data, it’s not helping you grow. It’s just helping you publish faster.
Marketing is specific.
Different audiences.
Different contexts.
Different emotional reasons to care.
AI only becomes an advantage when the inputs reflect those realities.
Otherwise it just produces a slightly shinier version of the same generic content that already floods our feeds.
And here’s the thing I believe strongly.
Everyone can be a growth marketer with the right tools.
Not because the tools replace skill, but because they surface the signal you should have been using all along.
We don’t need more content.
We need better loops.
Better inputs.
Better understanding.
My mission isn’t to make marketers’ lives “easier” in the vibe-coding sense.
Easier is not the point.
Better is the point.
Better insight.
Better decisions.
Better strategy.
Better growth.
I care about this enough that I’m building something to support that shift. Not to replace marketers. Not to automate creativity. But to help anyone, at any level, make data-backed choices instead of guessing.
Your audience already told you what works.
The real work is deciding to listen.
Vibe marketing fills your calendar.
Real marketing moves the needle.
I know which one I’m betting on.
