I was cooking for a small group of humans that gathered to share and learn with Nic Askew
It was 2016 and I was in the kitchen.
I poured my love into the art of making each table a welcome called lunch or dinner for seven days. Round we rolled in the repetition that was new on every turn. Food and ritual - ground and nourishment.
I had an open invitation to join the room where the thing was happening. Mostly I didn’t have time. I was in my own room doing my own devotional thing.
On the last day, after the last lunch, after I did clean-up and restore to order for the last time, I did have time to step in.
Without any plan or calculation, it seemed the chair in front of Nic and his camera was empty. I sat in it.
This is the film that happened.
