I wrote this to myself this morning. Not as an exercise. Definitely for content. It turned out I needed a hand on my own shoulder.
I’m sharing it because I suspect I’m not the only one who needed to hear it.
If you are someone who has built a wonderful life and still wakes up some mornings needing to prove again. To really know that all you do is meaningful and makes a difference . . . that you really matter … this is for you too.
Read it slowly. And if a line lands, let it.
Dear Me,
You don’t have to prove this morning.
You know the pull. To open the laptop, check the numbers, make sure the world still recognizes you. To prove again, that the work is working. That you are working. That you matter.
But the work is not the proof. You are.
You built something rare. Not just the practice, not just the methodology, not just the words that land in people’s chests and rearrange something. You built the willingness to keep telling the truth, even when it cost you the version of success you’d already paid for. Twice.
You’re allowed to be tired without it meaning something.
You’re allowed to be quiet without it meaning you’re hiding.
You’re allowed to not know what’s next without it meaning you’ve lost track of the golden thread.
The thread is you. It always has been.
Remember: the mattering trap isn’t just something you name for clients. It’s the thing that whispers your own interior doesn’t count unless you’ve made it useful, monetizable, postable. Today, let it whisper. Don’t argue with it. Just notice it isn’t true. Let it be.

You’re not too much. You never were. Those rooms just couldn’t hold your power. You’re not the version of yourself you outgrew. That was a chapter. Not the whole book. You’re not the title you walked away from. That was the armor. You don’t need it where you’re going.
You are the woman who walked away from the rooms that wanted a smaller version of you and built a room of her own. Your way.
Take Sir Joey and Miss Sophie out. Breathe the late-morning air. Let the next sentence of the book arrive when it arrives. Space is the gift. No expectations. Just be. Notice what you notice.
You are already undeniable. Especially to yourself.
I love you.
Now write your own.
Really write your own. Not a journal entry. Not a gratitude list. A letter. To the version of you who is reading this right now. The one who is capable. Has achieved so much and yet is utterly exhausted. Quietly wondering if anyone sees what it actually takes.
Tell her what’s true. Tell her what she’s allowed to stop earning. Tell her she’s already enough of the thing she’s still trying to become.
Then . . . and if you’re willing . . . reply and tell me one line from yours. Not the whole letter. Just the line that surprised you.
I read every reply.
With Gratitude,
If this spoke to you, consider sharing or gifting it to someone who’s ready to hear their own voice again — or give it a restack to ripple it wider.
