It's the first time in thirty years she didn't have an answer. She thought that meant something was wrong.

What happens when the identity that made you successful can no longer hold all of who you are?

I said it out loud in a Pilates class. Then I looked around the room and understood what I'd been writing about for years.

You didn't bury the weak parts of yourself. You buried the powerful ones. And the person who taught you to do it left a long time ago.

You say it all day without hearing yourself. Then 2am comes, and the word stops working.

You keep a ledger you’d never admit to. You’ve kept faith with it for years.

Different ways people are built to work. The office only fit one.

You signed something a long time ago.

When I was a kid, I could feel a room before I understood what was in it.

I’ve been disengaged from social media. It started with FB last year. Then it happened with IG. And then these last 6 months I’ve been on and off of LinkedIn. There’s even been weeks here on Substack where I’ve been on and then off.I’ve been drained by all the “look at me, look at me” posts and AI slop proliferation. It’s beyond noise.

Thirty years in corporate taught me one thing above everything else.

Nobody has language for it when it comes this early.

You Sound Like a Chicken.

You’ve always delivered.

What's actually keeping you from the finish line
