I’ve been unexpectedly away. To love and care, to help. Help move mountains with teaspoons. And in those long, hard days, right in the middle of them, over and over there was love and care in return, from friends, from strangers, in unexpected ways, in unexpected places. Daily, tears filled my eyes. Gratitude overflowed. The hard was just as hard, but also, it wasn’t, somehow.
