La Rentrée

Gabrielle, my friend Anne’s daughter, who stayed with us this summer, hopped the Metro with a full book bag and sits back in the classroom. A tanned Anne is back at work and wishing les vacances lasted longer.

I love la Rentrée in Paris - the relaxed air of Parisians, the cafe’s re-opened and bustling and museums bursting with new exhibitions.

On one of our last trips we visited the market with the chef for ingredients, cooked and ate our lunch and the chef treated us each to a souffle at Jane Bertsch’s La Cuisine
