Been busy at Open Sauce this week

I’ve been a bit quiet this past week because my wife and I are currently exhibiting Camera Hacks at Open Sauce this weekend. It’s our first time in San Francisco and absolutely loving it so far (stay tuned for some touristy photos taken with the WLV-01 :D). Check out these awesome passes that they have. As of yesterday the booth is all set up and I’ll be sharing how the actual event goes after the trip. Our booth neighbour across from us is Fujifilm and I’ve been drooling at the GFX cameras they have on display. I’m literally in nerd heaven and can’t wait for the weekend events to start!

New Exposure Feature

One new feature I built in the hotel room last night was to enable screen taps to trigger spot metering points. This is a feature that most of us are used to on our smartphone cameras but isn’t something that comes out of the box with libcamera or picamera2. Just started testing it out and it’s working great with the Focus Point feature I shared in the last post. Stay tuned for this feature on the new software release! I plan on releasing the software at the end of the month once I’m back from the trip.
