Hi cake friends,
Queue up some Sinatra and crank the volume: We’re throwing a Steak Zine reading and launch party in NYC on April 26. Join us at Funny Bar in Manhattan for a night of jazz, steak frites, fiction, and dessert.
The night will start with martinis and readings from contributors Isle McElroy, Lillian Fishman, Leah Abrams, Hannah Kingsley Ma, Sable Yong, and Swati Sudarsan, plus Aliza reading Stephanie Wambugu’s flash fiction to complete the package. Afterwards, we’ll slice and share an opulent dessert from Lo Alalay, and all guests can join us for dinner (steak frites, big salads, and sundaes) in Funny Bar’s ample booths. Just speak with the host when you arrive to reserve a table; first come first serve. We’re excited to celebrate this special issue in a more intimate setting, and expect these tickets to go fast.
In addition to this reading, we’re having a dinner with Superiority Burger on April 21: Superiority Steak House. Reservations are all booked, but we’ll be able to accommodate some walk-ins, and anyone can drop by to buy a copy of Steak Zine and get a drink at the back bar. We hope to see you there.
