AKA The Authorship Principle

ARC I: THE SELF

Before action, before timing, before manifestation - there is always a story you are telling yourself.

There are some who think reality begins externally.

In my experience, it doesn’t.

Reality begins in relationship to perception.
To language.
To interpretation.
To identity.

Funny enough, years earlier I made a painting that read:
“Reality Is Perspective.”

“Reality” - Diptych • Acrylic on Wood • 24inx24in / 48inx24in

I even misspelled the word.

Something inside was speaking to me.
It knew where I was headed.

I’m 30% deaf in both ears…
so maybe I heard it wrong.

And then I spelled it wrong too.

Long before the outcome of life becomes visible, it is usually rehearsed internally.

That rehearsal becomes posture.
That posture becomes behavior.
That behavior becomes pattern.

And eventually, that pattern becomes what other people call “your life.”

This is why authorship matters.

Not because you can control everything. You can’t.

Life still be lifing.
Timing is still timing.
People still out here peopling.
Unexpected things still happen.

Authorship is not dictatorship.

It’s responsibility.

Responsibility for the narrative you continuously hand your nervous system.

The mind likes repetition.
Behavior becomes repetition.
And the body listens to repetition.

Eventually, your actions begin organizing themselves around the story you have accepted as true.

That internal agreement is usually invisible at first. But you can see its effects everywhere.

A person who internally believes they are unwanted often moves through life preparing for abandonment.

A person who internally believes they are already behind, moves through life with panic attached to time.

A person who internally believes they are fraudulent struggles to fully arrive inside their own accomplishments. Or they overcompensate as a distraction. (Look over there… not here.)

Not always because reality confirmed those things first.

But because the agreement preceded the evidence.

The internal story altered the posture before the world responded.

That is the authorship principle.

And authorship becomes extremely important once you realize that -

Internal language does not stay internal for long - It leaks.

Into decisions.
Into timing.
Into relationships and dynamics.
Into tolerance or compassion.
Into confidence and insecurities.
Into fear and love.
Into what you pursue or abandon.
Into what you avoid or embrace.
Into what you believe you deserve…
and what you believe you don’t.

Manifestation is often misunderstood as attracting outcomes.

But many times, what many call manifestation is actually sustained alignment.

A person continuously behaving in accordance with an internal truth until reality eventually meets them there.

That does not mean every desire appears automatically.

It just means repetition is powerful. (It becomes mantric.)

But where that repetition is pointed…
influences what your mind, body, and behavior begin treating as true.

Especially when uncertainty enters the frame.

Because uncertainty exposes the quality of authorship quickly.

When people do not trust their internal narrative, they become forceful.

They rush.
They overprove.
They chase confirmation.
They attempt to control timing.

But clarity behaves differently.
Truth-led direction behaves differently.

Because a desirable reality rarely organizes itself around panic.

It responds more consistently to coherence.
To sustained orientation.
To congruence.
To repeated alignment over time.

That is why the first agreement is internal.

Before THE relationship.
Before THE career.
Before THE recognition.
Before THE outcome.

There is always a story you have already begun penning.

And eventually, you begin living inside it.

So write carefully.

Pay attention to the narratives you rehearse repeatedly.
Pay attention to the identities you casually reinforce.
Pay attention to the language you use when speaking - about yourself, your future, your worth, your timing, your possibilities, your limitations.

Because authorship is happening whether you are conscious of it or not.

The question is not whether you are writing.
The question is whether you are writing intentionally.

This lesson is a more structural and expanded articulation of what I had already been circling intuitively when I created BLANK PAGE.

“BLANK PAGE” • Acrylic and Rust on Wood • 24inx32in

And I’ll get deeper into that piece and story soon.

As always… in divine time.
