I mentioned in my last video that my current project is: creating paintings that honor experiences from times in my life when I wasn’t able to be working on art.
Well—I finished my first painting of the series this month! I thought back to the first significant turning point in my journey after entering college, which was when I had the opportunity to study Hindi in Jaipur at the American Institute of Indian Studies during the summer of 2015. There is a lot more that could be said about the experience, but for the sake of the video I just focused on what relates most to my present.
It’s really a curious thing when photographs bring back memories that my journey has led me to forget. Please enjoy the selection of photos in the video that would have probably remained forever unseen in my hard drive if not for this project!
